Weekend Escape : Seattle

To combat SF's freezing, foggy summer, we escaped up to sunny Seattle for a weekend. We spent the long summer days wandering the city and catching up with old friends. Great food, sunshine and tasty drinks filled our days. It was so nice to get out of the fog and be reminded that real, actual summer exists. Just not in San Francisco.

Scribe Winery

Scribe Winery might just be the most Instagrammed winery in Sonoma--and for a good reason. The aesthetic is a perfect mix of California cool and vintage. The $60/person tasting comes with a seasonal multi-course lunch of locally or on-site grown produce and ethically-raised meat. The views are stunning. Even the bathroom is the perfect chippy shade of Millennial Pink.

A Day at the Pool : Francis Ford Coppola Winery

Escaping San Francisco's foggy, breezy, changeable weather is usually high on every city-dweller's wish list this time of year. While the rest of the country is welcoming summer with long, sunny days, we're often battling strong winds and cloudy skies. One of Sonoma's best kept secrets lies tucked away into some of the most picturesque vineyards in the region.

Wanderlust : Wine Country Getaway

The past couple of weeks have finally brought spring to the Bay Area. I spent last weekend in Sonoma to celebrate a friend's birthday, and loved exploring Guerneville. We stayed at an Airbnb with vineyard views and a hot tub. It's walking distance to downtown Gureneville, Johnson's Beach, a bunch of tasting rooms and restaurants, and some cute tiny stores.
