It's been eight months since I last shared an update on our ever-evolving living room. It took a while to find the perfect side table (with storage), and then life happened. But, I'm very excited to share another update! I've finally checked all the big projects off my list, and I'm super happy with the end result. It's been nearly four years in the making, but I finally feel like our living room is a strong representation of my style.
I feel like bedrooms are kinda my thing right now. I've shared my own bedroom updates (here, here and here), and snippets of a project I'm working on for a friend, and I'm even working on a project for my parents. But, I fully believe that a space is never "done". There are always little tweaks to do since people are dynamic and creatures of change.
It's been a little over a month since I first started helping my friend tackle her new bedroom. We've placed some orders, we've organized, she's done an excellent job at fully unpacking and organizing and purging, and I'm happy to say we're nearly there!
I really, really want a straw tote. Really. Lately it seems like they've been popping up everywhere, and offer the perfect mix between vacation whimsy and everyday functionality. Perfect for the beach, a trip to the farmer's market, or to add some vacay vibes to a Monday, straw totes are the it bag for Spring 2017.
I'm in the process of helping my friend, and new roommate, update her bedroom. She moved in about a month ago, and asked for my help designing an adult, refined bedroom that would serve a number of purposes. The room needed to act as a personal sanctuary, and a quiet place she could come relax after a long day. The main challenge for her is storage. She's super athletic and has a bunch of equipment: two bikes, lots of water bottles, yoga mat, training gear--a little of everything.
Living in San Francisco means I do a ton of walking, and I'm constantly on the hunt for comfy shoes. I immediately loved the classic look of People Footwear shoes, and knew I'd order a pair eventually. I got The Stanley in white/beach glass blue, and couldn't be happier.
It's December! How'd that happen? As I get older, the old adage about time speeding up as we age seems more and more true. I'll be 28 in 10 days. I feel...different. A bit. Like I'm checking more and more boxes off on the list of things I want.
San Francisco is well known for it's micro climates, chilly afternoons and evening fog. Walking is a way of life. The City seems to constantly hover just below 70, and constantly feels like either fall or spring. This is the land of layers, puffy coats and always bringing a pair of sunglasses with you (just in case!).
