Skincare Faves + Daily Ritual

I've always struggled with my skin. It was never actually severe, I was just really self conscious and paranoid about it. Even if I was going to the beach, I was sure to have some concealer and bronzer in my bag. In high school, I regularly went to the dermatologist and by freshman year of college I was breaking out regularly due to stress. A mixture of prescribed antibiotics and topical treatments and a happier environment helped get my skin back under control, but I was never really happy with it. Recently though, I've gotten way more comfortable in my own skin after completely gutting and then rebuilding my skincare regimen.

November Faves : Korean Sheet Masks, Velvet Pillow Covers + Nordstrom Sale Picks

Daylight Saving Time has ended, the days are getting shorter and crisper, and the ice rinks have even gone up at Union Square and on the Embarcadero. Fall is in full swing, and the holidays are right around the corner. I'm loving all the 70's inspired boho floral dresses paired with booties, and clean, black pieces. Maybe I've lived in The City for too long, but you can never go wrong with a classic wardrobe staple in black.

Madewell Transport Tote : Review

It's been a little over four years since I purchased my Madewell Transport Tote. At the time, I was surviving my first post-college adult job. The bag was pricey for me at the time. It retails for $168 today, but I remember paying less in 2012. I'd been eyeing it for ages, and was completely stoked when I finally decided to treat myself. It's pretty much been my go-to everyday bag ever since.

Friday Faves : Decor for a Victorian-era Hallway

I live in a 1908 Victorian just west of Chinatown in San Francisco. We're lucky that our landlord, and building owner, renovated the kitchen and bathrooms when they purchased the property 15 years ago, but saved some of the original charm. We're blessed with a large, by city standards, kitchen and living room, in-unit washer and dryer, and plenty of light in the living spaces. The stairway and hallway though are a different story.
