Fall Weekend in The City : Cozy Sweaters, Chelsea Boots + WINE
Happy Monday! This past weekend was rainy, windy and grey. It was also the first real taste of fall that SF has seen. It was the perfect weather for piling on the blankets, browsing Netflix and baking pies. And drinking wine.
I piked up an excellent bottle of pino noir on my way home from Pop Physique on Saturday, threw on these super comfy rain boots and a gigantic sweater, and headed over to The Mission to run some errands and check out the Everlane store in person. I tried on a bunch of their sweaters and shoes for fit (they were out of the color/size I wanted in most things), and I think I'm finally ready to pull the trigger on a few things. On the way home, the boyfriend and I swung by Japantown so he could grab supplies for home made ramen (so good!). I got sucked into one of the Korean beauty stores and wound up with a couple of strange but awesome sheet masks and a ton of free samples! Who knew sail goo was the new must-have ingredient?!
I'm still putting the finishing touches on our Fall living room update, which should hopefully be coming next week! All this rain meant that this weekend was full of cuddling, napping, candle burning and generally being a home body.
But, one of my worst bad habits is online window shopping while watching tv or movies. I end up wanting it all! I'm pretty good about not buying impulsively, and items tend to linger in my cart for ages, but there are definitely some fall staples I'm seriously craving! Cozy, oversized sweaters, soft camis and Chelsea boots are perfect for SF's changeable fall weather and transition perfectly into winter. October is one of the best months to be in SF, and even the rain can't dampen my spirits.
