Hi There.

Limitless San Francisco is more than a lifestyle blog--it's a love letter to The City.

I can't believe it's the fall already! This is my favorite time of year in The City, and there's still plenty left to see and do before our pseudo summer comes to an end. This weekend, Folsom Street Fair comes to SOMA, but don't be fooled by the tame version on Looking from earlier this year--this fetish and BDSM festival isn't for the faint of heart.

I'm really looking forward to an outdoor screening of the 80s classic Back to the Future on Saturday in Dolores Park. The show is part of Film Night in the Park, which has been going strong since 2003. Remember that scene with JLo and Matthew McConaughey in The Wedding Planner with the MnMs? Yup, they're at a Film in the Park! Be sure to bring a blanket, low chair, a picnic with plenty of wine, and enough clothes to stay cozy.

Remember--layers are your friends. The movie starts at dusk, so get there early to score a good spot a bit up the hill, and relax as the sky gets all pink or Karl rolls on in.

The weather is supposed to be solidly nice this weekend: not sweltering, not freezing, sunny during the day, cool at night. Basically, perfect. The only trouble though can be figuring out an outfit that can effortlessly take you from day-to-night. In other places, a summer dress and denim jacket are perfect, but in The City this will rarely work out well. Just because Dolores Park hit 85 at noon on a Saturday doesn't mean the temperature won't plunge around 5 p.m. The City offers unique challenges for every aspect of life, but figuring out how to dress for San Francisco can be difficult. I've lived here for eight years, and occasionally I still have what my boyfriend has dubbed an Outfit Crisis

Basically what happens while I'm trying to get ready for the day is the amount of variables for the day, i.e. where we're going, what we're doing, how we're getting there, will it be sunny or cold, how long will we be there, who else is going, how far do I have to walk, completely overwhelm my adult decision making skills. Are we walking? Driving? Uber/Lyfting? MUNI? UGH. What should be simple, like picking out a pair of shoes to wear, can become impossible. If we're walking out go the new flats that give me blisters, out go the cute booties with the three-inch heel, and out go anything else that might hurt my feet because who knows when a stroll to the Ferry Building will turn into a 12 hour excursion on the Embarcadero complete with multiple meals and bar stops? One wrong choice could easily ruin my day.

Saturday, we're planning on attending a friend's BBQ in the Lower Haight, which is usually sunny but can also be pretty windy, and then walking 20 minutes from their place to Dolores Park. We'll be sitting on blankets on the grass for the entire running time of Back to the Future, so comfy and warm need to be priorities. See what I'm getting at here?

I'm thinking a packable down jacket, comfy oversized sweater, tank, white jeans (because it's SF's summer still!) and maybe some comfy booties I scored during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale back in July. Oh, and don't forget the honey wine!
