Over Thanksgiving my boyfriend and I were lucky enough to be able to take a few days and hang out in LA! Neither of us had ever really spent time there, and we had an awesome time. We stayed Downtown at the Ace Hotel, walked everywhere, hit up the shops in Silverlake, saw Griffith Observatory, ate at two of the best ramen places in town, and fell in love with LA.
There were tons of things we wanted to do, but just didn't have time--The Broad Museum, The Getty, Rose Bowl Flea Market, Venice...etc. Since neither of us had been before, we had so much fun exploring together. I was surprised at the walkability of downtown, and all the amazing buildings. The street art throughout the city, and even the art that doubles as signage, was really beautiful. In general, the streets were much cleaner than SF, and since it's flat it was really easy to walk for ages. I left feeling refreshed and inspired, and I get why so many people have relocated from SF recently.
Take a look at some of my highlights below, and let me know if you've got any LA faves for next time!
